IT’S FRIDAYYY FRIDAY GOTTA GET DOWN ON FRIDAY

Sorry for posting this so late (it’s Sunday now)! The bicentennial celebration of the town of Washington, ME was this weekend hosted at Medomak and things got reallly busy around here. Here’s a huge lump-post of our meals on Friday:

Crepes with lemon creme, fresh strawberries and pineapple. Andrew let me fold the crepes. They looked like…crep.

A really exciting menu, both in color and contents.

My fave soup, gazpacho.

Tuna fish…yum.

Jeff made a dill dressing for the pitas…droooooooool.

The only thing better than fresh pitas is warm fresh pitas!

Lots of roasted squash from the garden…I’m not complaining though.

Potatoes au gratin, so crispy, so delicious. Jeff and Andrew wouldn’t let me slice any darn potatoes though, so they lacked my personal touch.

Friday Night Lasagna!

Okay, so I did that thing where at the end of the meal I remember to ask Andrew how the pictures came out, his face contorts from confusion to annoyance, and he ~gently~ reminds me that I was supposed to take them. If these photos look unappealing, it’s because we had to take the leftovers out of the ‘fridge and unwrap them for photographing. I promise to be more diligent from here on out! Also, dinner was a great success.

This week’s plum tomato & basil sauce was homemade fresh for lasagna alongside the pasta!

My favorite part of the meals is the fresh bread that accompanies them, especially when rolled crescent-style.

I was told we had no more broccoli, only to end the night with this much left. Nothing special, just gorgeous, delicious broccoli!

Tuesday Dinner

Meatloaf!  Jeff and I are both big fans of meat loaf.  We both ate too much of it after service tonight.  Take a closer look at the pictures of those carrots from our gardens, they are beautiful.

Monday Dinner

It has been a pretty crazy day.  Dinner was a little rushed, we got backed up making the pasta.  Ended up not having much time to taste and adjust before food went out but it seemed to go over alright.  Definitely could have been better…

Sunday Dinner

First dinner with the new group tonight.  Main dish was  chicken thighs cooked on the griddle after marinating in olive oil, lemon juice, and some lemon thyme and lavender from the garden.

Lemon Thyme Chicken Thighs

Blanched, shocked, tossed with olive oil and kosher salt

Brown butter and caramelized onion brown rice… dull color, nice taste though.

Spinach salad with homemade feta, toasted almonds, and cucumber.
